Karbochem started manufacturing Emulsion Styrene Butadiene Rubber at its Sasolburg Site in 1964. Since then Karbochem has expanded its product range and now produces a range of Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber, High and Low CIS Polybutadiene rubbers and high performance Polyisoprene at its second manufacturing site in Newcastle South Africa.
Karbochem offers a wide range of synthetic SBR(ESBR/SSBR) and BR (High and Low Cis) for most applications.
Karbochem synthetic rubbers are found in products produced by a number of international tyre, industrial and sporting goods companies.
Karbochem also produces a speciality product (3,4 Polyisoprene) known as Isogrip, which is used to enhance wet grip in high performance tyres.
